Ladybirds Daycare, and its owner Cathryn Hibbard, have provided childcare in the Landkey, Swimbridge and surrounding areas since 1988. As a result the nursery is an established local community resource and has a dedicated and enthusiastic professional childcare team.
We have up to 20 trained staff with qualifications including NNEB, BTEC, CACHE and ranging from NVQ level 2 to level 6. We have a qualified teacher on our staff, a dedicated Childcare Manager who works closely alongside the children, parents and staff on the nursery floor, also our Deputy Manager who deals with the operational side of the nursery and a nursery chef who provides nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
All Ladybirds staff are encouraged and expected to undertake continuous professional development in all aspects of their role. In this respect we send our staff, including managers, on a wide range of non-vocational courses such as first-aid, food-hygiene, child protection and a comprehensive series of specialist child play and child communication skill development courses
